Video | Yo La Tengo – Friday I’m In Love

Yo La Tengo recently revealed plans to issue a new album, entitled Stuff Like That There, on August 28 through Matador Records. Revising a similar format implemented for their 1990 album Fakebook, the new LP features a mix of new originals, reworkings of previously released Yo La Tengo tracks and a number of cover songs. Today the band has shared official video for one of the record’s cover songs, The Cure’s “Friday I’m In Love.”

To record Stuff Like That There, guitarist Ira Kaplan, drummer Georgia Hubley and bassist James McNew reunited with former guitarist Dave Schramm who contributed to Fakebook 25 years ago. The band will tour in support of the new record, with a first-time set up of Kaplan on acoustic guitar, Hubley out front on a small drum kit and McNew on upright bass.
