DUEL IT OUT AT NEW ORLEANS JAZZ FEST

The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival comes to a close today at the Fairgrounds in the Crescent City. This morning we’ll look back at one of the best performances from the first day of the 10-day event.

On Friday, April 26th, New Orleans resident Anders Osborne performed at the Fairgrounds with his incredibly talented trio that includes drummer Eric Bolivar and bassist Carl Dufrene. North Mississippi Allstars guitarist Luther Dickinson sat in with the band leading to an intense two-guitar attack.

AXS TV, who will broadcast many performances from Jazz Fest this afternoon starting at 3 p.m. ET, showed pre-recorded portions of Anders’ set during yesterday’s telecast. Our pals at CHeeSeHeaDPRoDuCTioNS captured Osborne’s performance of “Easy Money” with portions of “Franklin’s Tower” interspersed featuring Dickinson.
