Vampire Weekend Welcomes HAIM At Hollywood Bowl

Vampire Weekend brought out the members of HAIM during their Wednesday night concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Sisters Este Haim, Danielle Haim and Alana Haim appeared together for one song before Danielle added to two more tunes as part of the 30-song performance. Danielle was among the contributors to VW’s 2019 album, Father Of The Bride.

HAIM emerged in the middle of Vampire Weekend’s main set to sing harmonies on Father Of The Bride track “This Life” in a reprise of a May collaboration on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Danielle stuck around to join VW for the “Hold You Now” that followed. She returned to help the group close out the set with “Jerusalem, New York, Berlin.” Vampire Weekend’s seven-song encore included a partial cover of Thin Lizzy’s “The Boys Are Back In Town,” which was last played in May.
