Watch University Of Florida Marching Band Play Halftime Tribute To Tom Petty

Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers’ official social media channels have shared video of the University Of Florida marching band paying tribute to the late great singer-songwriter. The homage came as part of celebrations for the first annual Tom Petty Day in Gainesville, Florida where Petty is from.
The tribute took place during halftime of the University of Florida Gators’ football game against the Louisiana State University Tigers game on Saturday, October 15 just five days ahead of what would have been Petty’s 72nd birthday. The UF marching band delivered a medley of Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers classics like “Free Fallin,’” “American Girl,” “The Waiting” and “Running Down A Dream.”
