Umphreys McGee To Hold Court At The Fort

Chicago’s Umphrey’s McGee have just announced a pair of shows at a most-interesting location: Fort Clinch in Fernandina Beach, Florida on April 10 and 11. Fort Clinch “is a 19th-century masonry coastal fortification, built as part of the Third System of seacoast defense conceived by the United States,” according to Wikipedia and has been a part of the Florida park system since 1935.

Not many details have been revealed about the performances as of yet. Fort Clinch hosts a full-facility campground, so we’d think this will allow fans to stay right near where the shows will take place. UM will be joined by another band at The Fort, but haven’t announced just yet who that band will be.
