Umphrey’s McGee postponed this weekend’s concerts in California due to the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. The band made the decision in conjunction with the Governor of California’s ban on large public gatherings.
The run was supposed to start tonight in San Diego. Other postponed shows were slated for Friday in Los Angeles, Saturday in Oakland and Sunday in San Rafael. Umphrey’s “are looking at options to reschedule dates and appreciate your patience while determining next steps.” The announcement follows the band postponing their Rockjavik shows in Iceland under similar circumstances.

Here’s a statement from the band:
Due to the need to prioritize public safety, coupled with the Governor of California’s decision to ban large public gatherings, this weekend’s four UM shows are unfortunately postponed.
We are looking at options to reschedule dates and appreciate your patience while determining next steps. As soon as we have additional info to share, we will. Stay safe and follow the guidelines in your community — we all need to do our part to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and look out for each other.
