A series of three shows celebrating Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh‘s 80th birthday at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York has been postponed due to the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. Originally slated for March 13 – 15, the run will now take place this summer.
The decision comes after a number of cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in nearby New Rochelle. “Both The Cap and Phil have determined that the best course of action is to postpone these shows to the summer,” reads part of a note from the venue. “We feel this is the right thing to do and we hope you understand our decision.”
