Umphrey’s McGee shared pro-shot video of the encore on March 26 during their Röckjavik run in Iceland. The final segment that night saw UM fitting the classic “Hajimemashite” within “1348.”
Umphrey’s McGee closed out night two of three concerts at Reykjavik’s Eldborg Hall beginning with “1348,” which originally appears on the band’s 2009 album Mantis. The first iteration saw UM playing with elements of “In A Silent Way” by Miles Davis.

The band then headed into the vintage “Hajimemashite,” which they debuted on January 31, 1998 in their native South Bend, Indiana, as per All Things Umphreys. Guitarist Brendan Bayliss led UM through the favorite and hit the song’s triumphant lyrical peak before guitarist Jake Cinninger blasted off ahead of a brief cool down and return to “1348” with more shred from Cinninger to put an exclamation point on the evening.
