Each year, for the past two years, jam stalwarts Umphrey’s McGee have released a live album featuring some of their best performances from the previous year edited “into a continuous idealized 3+ hour show.” Fans have a say in these Hall Of Fame compilations by voting on what tracks/jams should make the cut. Yesterday UM unleashed Hall Of Fame Class Of 2012 with an interesting twist -the band has teamed with PledgeMusic to crowdsource elements of the new release.

Fans who pledge towards the release will be able to enjoy a variety of Hall Of Fame: Class Of 2012 offerings that weren’t available in previous years such as downloads, split color vinyl, customized test pressings and more. Furthermore, those pledging will have access to a “pledger-only” part of the site which we enable them to view exclusive updates including videos, photos and audio of the entire process of putting the Hall of Fame compilation together. A portion of the

will benefit the

, the largest and most comprehensive pediatric health care center in the state of South Carolina, a cause close to the band’s heart. Fans have 30 days left to pledge.
