Umphrey’s McGee’s Cruising Altitude 2025 Tour landed in Spokane, Washington for a concert Friday at Spokane Live. Long-shelved Pink Floyd and Steely Dan covers were added to the setlist after extensive absences.
According to the All Things Umphrey’s setlist database, UM had only played in the Spokane area once before, back in 2009. The band’s long-awaited return saw the return of Pink Floyd’s “Brain Damage” and “Eclipse” at the end of the evening’s first set. The final two songs from The Dark Side Of The Moon had been played by UM as a pair together twice before, most recently at UMBowl V on May 3, 2014, bridging a gap of 880 shows between performances.
Another big bust out arrived as the encore in the form of Steely Dan’s “Reelin’ In The Years.” The rarity, last played by UM on March 19, 2017, ended a 597 show absence with its unpredicted reemergence.
Umphrey’s McGee was supposed to play a concert tonight (Monday, March 17) at Bally’s Lake Tahoe Casino Resort in Stateline, Nevada. Severe weather forced the band to cancel the concert. UM’s Cruising Altitude 2025 Tour is expected to continue with a show on Wednesday, March 19 at the Mystic Theater & Music Hall in Petaluma, California.
