Umphrey’s McGee wrapped their At The Drive Inn two-night stand outside Chicago with a performance Sunday at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois. The band crafted a setlist packed with originals old and new that were played to the horn-honking approval of the socially-distanced fans in attendance.
Umphrey’s McGee pulled out “Puppet String” to open Sunday’s first set, diving into improvisation without finishing the opener. The band smoothly segued into “The Floor,” which was followed by guitarist Brendan Bayliss leading them through “No Diablo.” The show continued with a pairing of “It Doesn’t Matter” with “Maybe Someday,” followed by the tension builder “Ocean Billy.” The set ended after a performance of “Day Nurse.”

The second set started with the recently introduced original “Suxity.” Next came a sequence that began with “Wappy Sprayberry” and continued with segues into “Plunger” and “Push The Pig” before transitioning into the end of “JaJunk,” finishing the song that was started on Saturday. UM classic “Divisions” was followed by the lone cover of the night as guitarist Jake Cinninger then led the group through Bob Seger’s “Hollywood Nights.” After the cover, the band went back into “Puppet String” completing the song that opened the show. The concert in Bridgeview was capped with a “Bridgeless” encore.
