While this fall will be extremely quiet on the Umphrey’s McGee front, at least in terms of live performances, the band will return to the road in early 2016 for an extensive tour. Earlier this month, Umphrey’s announced a three-night stand at the Beacon Theatre in NYC as well as the first-ever Blue Ridge Rockway event in Asheville and today the sextet has detailed the rest of the tour. TAUK will open most dates on the tour.
Umphrey’s will team up with old friend Joshua Redman for a pair of shows following the weekend in New York City, as the saxophonist will join the sextet for performances in Cleveland and Kalamazoo. The group then heads back to the Northeast for a series of shows in New England. From there, UM visits the Mid-Atlantic before ending the first leg of the tour in the Carolinas. The band returns to the road in mid-March for a West Coast run that includes stops in Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Nevada and California.

Pre-sale tickets along with the umVIP packages will go on sale Wednesday, October 21 at 10:00 a.m. ET for Leg 1 dates (1/27 – 2/20), and Wednesday, October 21 at 10:00 a.m. Local time for Leg 2 dates (3/10 – 3/26). Similiarly, the public on-sale will take place Friday, October 23 at 10:00 a.m. ET on the East Coast, and 10:00 a.m. Local time on the West Coast.
