Uber & Spotify Announce Ride-Alongs & Live Sessions

By Scott Bernstein Nov 21, 2014 8:30 am PST

Earlier this week the streaming service Spotify announced a deal with car service Uber to allow users to choose the soundtrack for their rides. The main gist is that Spotify users will be able to choose the music they want to hear on their journey and when the car arrives, it’ll be your tunes blasting out from the car’s speakers. To celebrate the arrangement, Spotify & Uber will offer artist ride-alongs and exclusive live sessions in 10 global cities today.

If you’re interested and in NYC, Singapore, Mexico City, Stockholm, London, L.A., San Francisco, Sydney, Toronto or Nashville, here’s what to do:

1. Connect your Spotify account from the Uber Profile screen or sign up.

2.Open up the Uber app at the time listed below for your city today (Friday, November 21).

3. Request the special car.

4. If you’re in a ride-along city and your ride is confirmed you’ll be one of the first to experience the new Spotify-enabled Uber cars. And if you’re really lucky, get ready for the ride of your life with!

If you’re in a live session city you’ll be picked up and taken to a secret location. Shh.
