Twiddle Welcomes Wiley Griffin & DJ Logic In Killington
By Scott Bernstein Dec 2, 2019 • 10:37 am PST
Twiddle followed a two-night “Frendsgiving” run at The Capitol Theatre with two performances in Killington on Sunday. The band started the day at Killington Resort and then closed out the night at the Pickle Barrel with help from turntablist DJ Logic and guitarist Wiley Griffin.
Both sets came in celebration of the Homelight Killington Ski World Cup. Twiddle played an afternoon set on the mountain during intermission of the slalom competition. The quartet’s day in their home state of Vermont ended with a long performacne at the famed Pickle Barrel. Just two nights after Twiddle debuted “Slippin In The Kitchen,” they kicked off their set at the Pickle Barrel with the new original. Next up was “Doinkinbonk!!!” before a version of “Apples” that gave way to “Mamunes The Faun.” Guitarist Mihali vacated his spot on the stage during “Mamunes” to Griffin, a longtime Twiddle friend and collaborator.
Mihali came back in for Wiley and immediately led the group through a jam on Phish’s “First Tube.” DJ Logic emerged a few songs later to augment Twiddle on the recently debuted “Just Gravy.” Next up was a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “D’yer Mak’er.” Twiddle then worked “Nicodemus Portulay” into “Shakedown Street” and went on to encore with “Ghostbusters.”
