Tweedy Covers David Bowie With Courtney Barnett In Melbourne

Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy is currently on tour in Australia with his Tweedy project. The band was joined by Aussie rocker Courtney Barnett for a David Bowie cover as the encore for tonight’s show at the Recital Hall in Melbourne, Australia.

As with all Tweedy performances, the evening started with a series of songs from the full band. Jeff then treated his Australian fans to a series of solo acoustic Wilco classics and more. The full band returned for a three-song encore which ended with the hometown heroine Barnett coming on stage to assist Tweedy on a cover of David Bowie’s “Queen Bitch.” Watch the first clips of the Bowie tribute to surface:
