The Allman Brothers Band tribute act brought out Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires for guest appearances in Chicago on Saturday. Trouble No More played a late-night concert at The Cubby Bear in Chicago following Chris Stapleton‘s show nearby at Wrigley Field.
The Highwomen were among acts who opened for Stapleton at Wrigley Field. Shires, Isbell and Trouble No More keyboardist Peter Levin are members of The Highwomen. Levin is joined in Trouble No More by guitarists Daniel Donato and Brandon “Taz” Niederauer, vocalist Lamar Williams Jr., drummers Nikki Glaspie and Jack Ryan, bassist Dylan Niederauer and sacred steel specialist Roosevelt Collier.
Trouble No More focused on material from Eat A Peach and early ABB albums such as “Ain’t Wastin’ Time No More,” “Blue Sky,” “One Way Out” and “Midnight Rider.” Jason Isbell let it rip on “Whipping Post” with a lengthy solo. Isbell’s time on stage also included contributions to “Statesboro Blues” and “In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed.” Amanda Shires helped out Levin on keys for the latter.
