Trey Anastasio Shares New Album ‘Paper Wheels’

On October 30 Trey Anastasio will release his tenth solo album, Paper Wheels. You don’t have to wait until the end of the month to hear the LP, since NPR has shared a stream of Paper Wheels as part of the First Listen program.

Anastasio produced the album with Bryce Goggin at the Phish frontman’s famed Barn in Vermont. Trey recruited his classic Trey Anastasio Band to record the LP at the same time in the same room in an effort to take “a cue from the energetic immediacy of classic Stax Studio recording sessions.” TAB worked out the arrangements on the road before heading to The Barn last summer to lay down the tracks that will eventually be released later this month and which you can hear today.
