Trampled by Turtles released a new single, “On The Highway.” The song is set for the Minnesota-based string sextet’s upcoming album, Alpenglow, due out on October 28 via Thirty Tigers.

Helmed by Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy and recorded at Wilco’s Chicago studio, The Loft, Trampled By Turtles heralded Alpenglow in June with the lead single, “It’s So Hard To Hold On.” The track arrived with a fan-sourced music video as well as fall and winter tour dates.

Trampled By Turtles — guitarist and primary songwriter Dave Simonett, mandolinist Erik Berry, fiddler Ryan Young, banjoist Dave Carroll, bassist Tim Saxhaug and cellist Eamonn McLain — followed with “Burlesque Desert Window,” which also arrived with a visual, featuring the band’s unofficial mascot, “the owl,” who appeared on the cover of TBT’s 2010 album Palomino.

The new single, “On The Highway,” received the video treatment as well, continuing the adventures of “the owl,” this time strolling the streets of Chicago. Watch the visual for “On The Highway” below:
