Tour Dates | The Motet Fall Tour & Mix Tape 1977

Each year Colorado funk act The Motet comes up with a creative theme for a Halloween run in their home state. This year, The Motet are taking their famed Halloween show on the road but still have a treat in store for Colorado fans.

As part of a just-announced fall tour, The Motet will bring “Mixtape 1977” to the Midwest for shows in Des Moines, Minneapolis, Milwaukee and Chicago. The band’s cover set at each performance including Halloween proper in Chicago will feature songs first released in the magical year of 1977. “Mixtape 1977” follows last year’s theme of “Mixtape 1975.”

While Colorado fans will have to travel for this year’s Halloween run, The Motet has announced the launch of a new tradition. The Motet’s “Hometown Hustle” will take place at the Ogden Theatre in Denver on November 13 and 14. Friday, November 13 will see The Motet joined by special guests The Main Squeeze; and Saturday, November 14 the band offers “Spirit of ’77: An Evening With The Motet,” featuring a special second set of music from their “Mixtape 1977” song list.
