Tour Dates | Hot Rize Announces Longest Tour Since 1990

Legendary bluegrass act Hot Rize is poised to embark on their first full tour since 1990 this fall. The band has also announced they will release a new studio album, details of which will be revealed soon.

The tour kicks off on September 24 in Colorado and includes festival performances at IBMA’s Wide Open Bluegrass Festival and the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival as well as plenty of headlining dates. Hot Rize will also team with the Del McCoury Band for a handful of shows and David Grisman will pair with both bands for a Philadelphia tour stop.

“We’ve had fun over the years playing some of our favorite festivals as we’ve all continued our solo careers, but the last few years we’ve started feeling the tug to make new Hot Rize music. With the new album, we decided it was time to hit the road and try to reach some new heights,” said Pete Wernick in a statement. “Even with the time away and all of our other ventures, we’re still like family, and adding Bryan Sutton on guitar brought a new energy to the band. We are very excited to share the new songs with fans.”
