Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Announce 40th Anniversary Tour

Veteran rockers Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers have detailed an extensive tour in celebration of their 40th anniversary next year. The group will perform across the United States from April through July, with more concerts expected to be added.
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers 40th Anniversary Tour will kick off on April 20 at Chesapeake Energy Center in Oklahoma City. From their they’ll hit Dallas, Little Rock, Nashville, Atlanta, Houston, Austin, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Memphis and St. Louis. Petty will spend May 29 and 30 at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado ahead of shows in Kansas City, St. Paul, Des Moines, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Hartford and Newark.
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers will play the Mountain Jam Festival in Hunter Mountain, New York on June 17 and then head to Wrigley Field in Chicago on June 29. Additional nights in Philadelphia and Canandaigua, New York as well as two nights at Summerfest in Milwaukee were also announced. Detroit, Boston and Baltimore will also host Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers 40th Anniversary Tour which is set to wrap its first leg with two shows at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York on July 26 and 27.
More West Coast 40th Anniversary Tour dates are expected to be announced in the future. Tickets for most of the 2017 concerts go on sale at beginning Friday, December 16 at 10 a.m. local time.
