Phish lyricist Tom Marshall continues to roll out multiple installments of his Under The Scales podcast each month with recent episodes featuring Benjy Eisen, Philip Zerbo and Mike Greenhaus. Today Marshall has unveiled the first of two Under The Scales podcasts focusing on pianist Holly Bowling.

Bowling headed to Marshall’s Under The Scales studio in Princeton, New Jersey last month to discuss her career and perform for Tom. Holly talked about how Phish’s “Tweezer” from Lake Tahoe on July 31, 2013 inspired her to start interpreting the foursome’s songs and particular jams. The pianist detailed her background, played “The Wedge” as per the host’s request, explained why some tunes work for her style and others don’t as well as engaged Tom on other topics.
