Todd Snider Announces New Solo Album, Tour & Shares Single

By Andy Kahn Aug 2, 2016 2:28 pm PDT

Singer-songwriter Todd Snider has announced a new solo album entitled Eastside Bulldog. The follow-up to 2012’s Agnostic Hymns & Stoner Fables features the single “Hey Pretty Boy” which has been made available in advance of the album’s release on October 7.

Recorded without much pre-planning after Snider was granted free use of a recording studio, the 10 songs were made up on the fly with friends helping from the sidelines. Snider took on his Elmo Buzz alter-ego – which he employed from time to time to circumvent radius clauses – for the new album which he for the first time played every guitar part on. Snider co-produced Eastside Bulldog with longtime collaborator Eric McConnell.

Currently on tour with Hard Working Americans, Snider will support the release of Eastside Bulldog with a solo tour. The solo run begins with an album release and 50th birthday party concert on October 7 at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Snider will continue with stops in the Midwest and East Coast throughout October, concluding at Skipper’s Smokehouse in Tampa, Florida on October 30.
