On October 5, 1996 rising stars of the burgeoning jam scene moe. and Medeski Martin and Wood teamed up for a co-bill at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. Medeski emerged at the end of moe.’s set to contribute organ to “Buster.” Video of moe.’s entire set is available on YouTube thanks to SenorMartin1977. The keyboardist comes on stage at the 1:23 minute mark.
John Medeski was one of many guests including Sam Bush and Trey Anastasio who jammed with moe. at NYC’s Roseland Ballroom on February 10, 2005 as a Tsunami Relief benefit. While video of Medeski’s sit-ins from that night hasn’t surfaced, here’s audio of a well-jammed “Mexico” featuring guest appearances from the keyboardist and Sam Bush:
On February 8, 2014 Medeski sat-in with moe. and others as part of the second night of concerts celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Wetlands at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York.
