Three Snakes Night For Black Crowes In Atlanta

Black Crowes fans attending last night’s show at The Tabernacle in Atlanta were in for a treat when the band opened the gig with the first six songs off 1996’s Three Snakes And One Charm album. For five of the six Three Snakes tunes, last night’s performances were 2013 debuts and the first ones newest member Jackie Greene has played on.
Three Snakes and One Charm was recorded in Atlanta at a rented house dubbed “Chateau de la Crowe” back in 1995 and released the following year. The Crowes also treated fans to covers of Traffic’s “Medicated Goo,” The Velvet Underground’s “Oh! Sweet Nuthin” and the “Hard To Handle” / “Hush” sequence they’ve performed at most shows this tour.
