Rockers They Might Be Giants have confirmed a World Tour taking place next year. The shows are being performed in support of the band’s new album I Like Fun which will be issued on January 19 via Idlewild Recordings.
TMBG co-founders John Linnell and John Flansburgh co-produced I Like Fun with Patrick Dillett. They recorded the 15-track LP at the newly established Reservoir Studios, the former location of the renowned Skyline Studios where the band recorded their 1990 LP Flood. In addition to the new album, TMBG will also revive their Dial-A-Song service in 2018, featuring weekly installments of new music by calling (844) 387-6962, via www.dialasong.com and on streaming platforms.
Linnell and Flansburgh will be joined on tour by drummer Marty Beller, guitarist Dan Miller and bassist Danny Weinkauf. TMBG will ring in the new year in Brooklyn with shows on December 30 and 31. Their 2018 tour begins on January 17 in Charlottesville, Virginia. That month will also see stops in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Louisiana.
In February They Might Be Giants will perform in Texas, Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri, Michigan, Ohio and Arizona. The next month will feature TMBG concerts in California, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Colorado, Missouri, Nebraska, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Kentucky. April finds the band appearing in Connecticut, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, Kentucky, New York, Vermont, Maine and Massachusetts. The group will then head to Europe later in 2018.
