Oceans Calling Cancels Friday Performances Due To Beach Erosion
Organizers are still working to stage the festival’s Saturday and Sunday shows in Ocean City, Maryland.

Oceans Calling Festival canceled its Friday performances after continued weather and beach erosion made it impossible to safely complete the festival site in time. The event is still scheduled to run Saturday and Sunday, though organizers said they are hoping conditions improve.
Friday was set to feature Dave Matthews Band, Hootie & The Blowfish, Ludacris, O.A.R. and Yellowcard, among others. The three-day festival takes place at Ocean City Inlet in Ocean City, Maryland.
Organizers said 1-day Friday tickets and 33% of 3-day tickets purchased directly through Front Gate Tickets will be automatically refunded to the original payment method, with refunds expected in as little as 30 days. They asked fans to follow the festival’s official channels for updates.
Weather has affected Oceans Calling before. The inaugural festival was canceled in 2022 ahead of Hurricane Ian, while heavy rain, wind and blowing sand delayed Blink-182’s 2024 set by nearly an hour. The 2026 cancellation comes as a nor’easter brings hazardous surf and coastal flooding to Ocean City. The National Weather Service issued a Coastal Flood Warning through Friday afternoon and forecast breaking waves of 8 to 12 feet.
