The Roots Cover Frank Zappa On ‘The Tonight Show’

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon house band The Roots have presented a diverse batch of covers as both intro music for themselves and the program’s guests as well as tunes that send the show to and from commercial. Recently Questlove and Co. paid tribute to Frank Zappa by performing portions of two of his songs.

On the August 31st episode when Fallon introduced his house band The Roots covered FZ’s “Peaches En Regalia” which frontman Black Thought freestyled over. The next night The Roots tackled “Titties & Beer” following Jimmy’s introduction. Watch both as captured by The Barking Pumpkin:
