The Rolling Stones Play ‘Out Of Control’ In Sweden

The Rolling Stones hit Friends Arena in Solna, Sweden on Sunday as part of their 60th anniversary tour. The legendary rockers offered the tour debut of “Out Of Contol” during the penultimate concert of the European tour.

As they’ve done frequently on the Sixty Tour, The Rolling Stones kicked things off with “Street Fighting Man” followed by “Let’s Spend The Night Together,” “Tumbling Dice” and “Out Of Time.” Frontman Mick Jagger then led the band through the tour debut “Out Of Control.”

“Out Of Control” appears on The Stones’ 1997 album Bridges To Babylon. While the band played the song frequently on the landmark Bridges To Babylon Tour and the tune saw a resurgence in the mid-teens, “Out Of Control” has become something of a rarity of late with the last performance coming on August 30, 2019, as per SetlistFM stats. The middle portion of the set also saw The Stones fitting in classics like “Angie,” “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” and “Honky Tonk Women” as well as the new tune “Living In A Ghost Town.” Guitarist Keith Richards fronted the group on “You Got The Silver” and “Connection” before The Stones reeled off a slew of favorites to close the set including “Miss You,” “Midnight Rambler,” “Paint In Black,” “Start Me Up,” “Gimme Shelter” and “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.” The encore consisted of additional classics “Sympathy For The Devil” and “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.”

The Rolling Stones close out their European tour in Berlin on Wednesday.
