THE MOVING SIDEWALKS REUNITE
FOR FIRST SHOW IN 44 YEARS

The Moving Sidewalks
Prior to hitting it big with ZZ Top, a young Billy Gibbons fronted a psychedelic blues outfit called The Moving Sidewalks, alongside Dan Mitchell (drums), Don Summers (bass), and Tom Moore (keys). Influenced by Austin’s 13th Floor Elevators, Jimi Hendrix, and early California psychedelia, the band would go on to release one studio album, Flash, before splintering during the summer of 1969.

Now, the original lineup has reunited, and will come together for their first performance in 44 years on March 30 at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City. Click here to buy tickets. As previously announced, the band is also booked to headline this year’s Austin Psych Fest.

The group is celebrating the release of The Moving Sidewalks – The Complete Collection, a 2CD set featuring Flash in its entirety, plus alternate tracks and previously unreleased songs. A 56 page booklet is also included.
