The Lumineers Share Willie Nelson Cover As Charity Single

With just less than two weeks to go until Christmas, The Lumineers shared the latest addition to 2018’s holiday music canon. The folk-rock act recorded a cover of Willie Nelson’s “Pretty Paper” as a charity single to benefit the Brown Paper Bag Movement, a grassroots program aimed at feeding and clothing the homeless.
The Nelson-penned track was originally a hit for Roy Orbison, who recorded a version on his 1963 album In Dreams. Nelson later used it as the title and lead track on his 1979 collection of Christmastime music, which was produced by Booker T. Jones. Listen to The Lumineers acoustic take on “Pretty Paper” below:
