The Disco Biscuits Play Bisco Inferno Finale At Red Rocks

Last night The Disco Biscuits concluded their Bisco Inferno Colorado run with a show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison. After three nights at the Ogden Theatre in nearby Denver, tDB moved to the iconic outdoor venue for Saturday’s finale that featured a rarely played cover.
The festivities began with an opening set by Twiddle before the Disco Biscuits took the stage to open with setlist staple “Little Shimmy In A Conga Line.” Hints of “The Great Abyss” gave way to an inverted rendition of “Humuhumunukunukuapua’a” that segued into “Crystal Ball” and then “Bernstein & Chasnoff.” The first set at Red Rocks drew to a close with the old favorite “Basis For A Day.”
After a setbreak performance by Ghostland Observatory, the second set began with just the second tDB performance of Muse’s “Knight Of Cydonia” which was debuted last year at Camp Bisco. Next came another rarity in the form of “Sweating Bullets” making its second appearance of the year after being shelved since 2010. From there the band dropped into a portion of “Above The Waves” which went into “Spacebirdmatingcall” and “Rock Candy” before returning to “Above The Waves.” The set ended where the show started as Bisco delivered the ending to “Little Shimmy in a Conga Line” to close out the second half. Swan song “Home Again” filled the encore slot as Bisco Inferno 2016 came to an end.
Last night’s concert was streamed by nugs.tv, here’s a portion of the webcast shared by the Disco Biscuits featuring the opening “Little Shimmy in a Conga Line” -> “Humuhumunukunukuapua’a” sequence:
