Veteran New Orleans-based jazz ensemble recently performed a set as part NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert series. In celebration of Mardi Gras, the four-song performance has been shared today, Fat Tuesday.

Celebrating 40 years together, the current DDBB lineup of Roger Lewis on baritone saxophone, Gregory Davis and Efrem Towns on trumpet, Kevin Harris on tenor saxophone, Kirk Joseph on sousaphone, Julian Addison on drums and Takeshi Shimmura on guitar, assembled around Bob Boilen’s desk for the festive performance. They pulled songs from throughout their lengthy career, including “Use Your Brain,” “Best Of All,” “Tomorrow” and “My Feet Can’t Fail Me Now.”
