The Beatles Share New ‘A Day In The Life’ Video

When The Beatles decided to stop touring in 1966, they still needed a way to promote the new music they were making. In yet another way the Fab Four were pioneers, they created promotional films for many of their singles more than a decade before MTV launched. A new deluxe edition of 1, a collection of The Beatles’ number one records, will feature a bevy of these promotional films including a restored version of the “A Day In The Life” video.
Mashable has premiered the restored “A Day In The Life,” which shows The Beatles recording the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band track. We also get to see an orchestra laying down their parts of “A Day In The Life” as well as cameos from Keith Richards and Mick Jagger. Take a look:
