On February 21, Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson & The Band will hit select theaters nationwide. Executive producers Martin Scorsese, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer put together the documentary about The Band, which premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival. A trailer for the film can be viewed below.
Once Were Brothers tells the tale of The Band from the vantage point of guitarist/songwriter Robbie Robertson. The film covers the group’s formation, time on the road with Bob Dylan, late-1960s and early-1970s peak and legendary The Last Waltz final concert. Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton and Taj Mahal are among those who contributed interviews to the documentary.
