Telluride Students Share Cover Of Harry Hood By Phish

Yesterday we reported on a beautiful cover of “Ripple” by the Grateful Dead put together by a choir filled with fourth and fifth graders. Apparently the Dead aren’t the only jam act that the kids are learning songs from these days as a fun cover of Phish’s “Harry Hood” featuring students from schools in Telluride, Colorado has surfaced.

The video below was the work of teacher Tuck Gillett’s students at Telluride Intermediate, middle and and high schools. Not only do we see a full rendition of “Harry Hood,” but the students also came up with inventive visuals to accompany the music including the use of glowsticks and a re-creation of the famous photo featuring Trey Anastasio and Page McConnell crossing the main street in Telluride. The musicians even worked a few teases into the mix. See if you can identify them. We wish we had a teacher like Mr. Gillett back in the day! Let’s go to the videotape:
