Earlier this year the Tedeschi Trucks Band released their third studio album, Let Me Get By. It appears fans won’t have to wait too long for the fourth as guitarist Derek Trucks revealed in a recent interview that the group is starting work on a new studio LP and he’s about to begin mixing a live album.
Trucks spoke with The Republican about the Tedeschi Trucks Band in a recent interview posted on MassLive.com. The guitarist said he’s about to start the mixing process for a TTB live album recorded during the group’s last tour. Derek also mentioned he was in his home studio as he talked to the paper waiting for vocalist Mike Mattison to arrive to work on a studio effort.
“We want to keep it moving forward,” Trucks said. “The last one we really hit our stride as far as writing as a group. Everyone is chomping at the bit to do the next one.” Stay tuned for updates about the Tedeschi Trucks Band’s fourth studio album and second live album.
