Tedeschi Trucks Band & Margo Price Deal Out George Jones, Leon Russell & Bob Dylan Covers

Tedeschi Trucks Band and Margo Price have seized the opportunity to share the stage together at several of their recent Deuces Wild Tour stops. Their run through the Midwest saw Price and members of her band join Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi and their bandmates for covers of songs by George Jones, Leon Russell and Bob Dylan.

TTB and Price rolled into Milwaukee’s BMO Pavilion last Friday night (August 9). The encore that evening saw Price emerge to join Tedeschi and a stripped down configuration of the Tedeschi Trucks Band on George Jones’ “Color Of The Blues.” The rest of TTB and members of Price’s backing band were then brought out to join her and TTB in closing out the show with Leon Russell’s “Stranger In A Strange Land.”

On Saturday, the Deuces Wild Tour landed at Kalamazoo, Michigan’s Wings Event Center. Tedeschi Trucks Band brought Price out for the encore, which began with Bob Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright,” followed by another attempt at “Stranger In A Strange Land.”

The same configuration of musicians came together last night at the Deuces Wild Tour stop near Detroit and once again closed the night with “Stranger In A Strange Land.” Scroll on for audio, video and photos from the collaborative Deuces Wild Tour swing through the Midwest.
