Tedeschi Trucks Band Announces Beacon Theatre Residency 2022
The seven-date residency includes the band's 50th show at the historic venue.
Tedeschi Trucks Band will continue a tradition this fall with a seven-show residency at The Beacon Theatre in New York City. The dates for the group’s 11th multi-night run at the venue are September 29 and 30 as well as October 1, 3, 6, 7 and 8. After a Swamp Family Fan Club Member presale on Wednesday, May 11 at 12 p.m. ET, tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, May 13 at 11 a.m. ET. Amy Helm will open on Thursday, September 29 and Ruthie Foster kicks off the action on Thursday, October 6. This year’s run comes after the TTB releases their four-part studio album and accompanying films, I Am The Moon, over the next few months.
“The Beacon is always a place for us to stretch out and explore musical territory,” said Derek Trucks in a statement. “We have an incredible amount of new material coming out this year with I Am The Moon and the Beacon shows will be some of the first where we’ll be able to draw from all of it and have the space to really dig in.”
Monday, October 3 will be the Tedeschi Trucks Band’s 50th concert at The Beacon. “I Am The Moon is a creative milestone for us – and we’ve got our 50th show at The Beacon, another milestone,” added Susan Tedeschi. “We’re looking forward to celebrating both and all the hard work that went into getting here – it’s not something that just happens.” The TTB made their Beacon Theatre debut on September 10, 2011, and returned each year since, besides 2020.
