Sylvan Esso will hit the road later this year for the Shaking Out The Numb Fall Tour 2021. The title and lyric from a track featured on Free Love, the group’s 2020 studio album, inspired the name of the run. News of the tour arrives with a video for “Numb.”

The duo consisting of Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn — who recorded a cover of Phish's “Farmhouse” for JamBase's Cluster Flies compilation — will kick off the tour at Edgefield in Troutdale, Oregon on September 6. Sylvan Esso’s tour opener comes just two days after the pair host the Superjam at Bonnaroo 2021.

Amelia Meath co-directed the “Numb” video with acclaimed Los Angeles-based choreographer Jasmine Albuquerque. Meath is joined in the visual by a troupe of LA dancers. “I’ve always loved the pure dance videos of the TRL era and dreamed of making something that could live in that world,” Amelia said. “I’m so grateful to Jasmine and everyone at [production studio] MAAVVEN who worked with me to bring this to life, it was such a joy and I can’t wait for y’all to see it.”
