Sweetwater Music Hall and the Mill Valley Film Festival will present a special benefit concert honoring Bob Weir and Rob Wasserman. The event will include the world premiere screening of director Don Hardy’s short-form documentary Fingerprints.
Sweetwater will host the “From California To Haiti” event on Saturday, October 7. Here are some details regarding Fingerprints:
Filmed at the Conservatory of Music in San Francisco and J/P HRO in Haiti, and featuring kids from Music Heals International (MHI) and Bay Area Music Project (BAMP), Fingerprints tells the story of two music programs for kids in two different countries that come together through the universal language of music.
Following the film’s screening will be a benefit concert featuring performances by Glide Singers, Paul Beaubrun, Jay Lane, James Nash, Randy Emata and Robin Sylvester as well as “surprise guests.” The event will also include the MVFF Tribute To Weir & Wasserman.
Tickets to just the film screening are available along with tickets that include entry to the benefit concert. Proceeds from the concert will benefit MHI, BAMP and the California Film Institute. Head here for more information and to purchase tickets.
