Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks & Steve Earle Among Jorma Kaukonen’s 85th Birthday Celebration Tour Guests
Los Lobos’ David Hidalgo, Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams will also join Jorma on the celebratory trek.

Jorma Kaukonen revealed the full guest lineup for an upcoming run of shows celebrating his 85th birthday. Newly announced guests include Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Steve Earle and others.
Founding Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna guitarist Jorma Kaukonen will also release a live album, Wabash Avenue, on vinyl as a Record Store Day exclusive. The record — an unearthed recording documenting one of Jorma’s first live performances in 1965 — arrives on November 28.

Kaukonen’s 85th birthday celebratory tour kicks off on November 1 in Washington D.C., the city Jorma was born in on December 23, 1940. All four dates on the tour will see Jorma joined by longtime collaborator Jack Casady (Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna), along with Hot Tuna’s Ross Garren and Justin Guip. Previously announced guests for the D.C. concert include guitarist Steve Kimock and singer-songwriter Jim Lauderdale.
The newly announced guests for the following concert on November 29 at Carnegie Hall in New York City are Steve Earle, Larry Campbell, Teresa Williams and G.E. Smith. The San Francisco show on December 5 will feature Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Sam Grisman, Peter Kaukonen, Bruce Cockburn and John Hurlbut.
Jorma Kaukonen will wrap the celebratory run on December 13 at the Paramount Theatre in Denver. Guests in the Mile High City include Carlos Nakai, Will Clipman and David Hidalgo (Los Lobos).
