Summer Camp Music Festival Announces Second Round Of 2016 Lineup

The 16th annual Summer Camp Music Festival will take place May 27 – 29, 2016 at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, Illinois. Today, festival organizers have announced the second batch of artists set play Summer Camp ’16.

The big news is the addition of Mudcrutch, a band led by Tom Petty that was active before Petty formed The Heartbreakers. Mudcrutch has not performed live since 2008. The band’s lineup features Mike Campbell, Tom Leadon, Randall Marsh, Petty and Benmont Tench. Big Grizmatik (Big Gigantic, GRiZ and Gramatik), Excision, The Roots, Ani DiFranco, Cherub, Fishbone, George Clinton & P-Funk, Lotus, Future Rock, John Brown’s Body, The London Souls and The Main Squeeze are among the acts announced today that will appear at this year’s Summer Camp. The Motet, Steve Kimock & Friends, Earphunk, The Heard, Kung Fu and Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds are additional SCamp ’16 acts revealed today. The artists added this afternoon join the festival’s usual headliners Umphrey’s McGee and moe. as well as STS9, Thievery Corporation, Emancipator, EOTO, Everyone Orchestra, Keller Williams, Greensky Bluegrass, Lettuce and many others at Summer Camp ’16.

Umphrey’s McGee and moe. will each perform on three days over the course of the festival. More acts will be announced soon. All told, Summer Camp ’16 will feature over 100 acts spread out among its eight stages. Tickets are available now via the festival’s website.
