Sturgill Simpson Makes ‘Saturday Night Live’ Debut

Outlaw country star Sturgill Simpson was the musical guest on last night’s installment of long-running NBC late-night variety show Saturday Night Live. Simpson and a band that included a full horn section ran through two songs from A Sailor’s Guide To Earth.

Sturgill and his band were in fine form for their Saturday Night Live debut as part of an episode hosted by Felicity Jones. Up first was a powerful rendition of “Keep It Between The Lines” featuring multiple solos and driven by the horns. Later in the episode Simpson & Co. tore through “Call To Arms.” Watch both songs below:
