The String Cheese Incident Works Bust Outs Into Park City Performance

Colorado jam act The String Cheese Incident continued the 2017 Winter Carnival – Roots Revival Tour on Tuesday night at Park City Live in Park City, Utah. The band has been digging deep into its repertoire for performances at intimate venues this tour and Tuesday’s concert saw more of the same.
SCI began Tuesday’s show with “Missin’ Me” before dusting off a cover of the bluegrass classic “Salt Creek” for the first time since September 30, 2006. “Moonflower” was up next followed by the group’s second ever cover of Onus B. Johnson’s “Purple Strains.” Later in the opening stanza Cheese busted out their rendition of “The Joker” by Steve Miller Band which had been missing in action since January 22, 2015. The band brought the first set to a close with “Pack It Up” and “On The Road.”
Cheese focused on originals throughout last night’s second set. They did, however, work a cover of The Band’s “Ophelia” into the closing stanza. For the encore, SCI said farewell with a rendition of the reggae classic “Could You Be Loved.” The String Cheese Incident returns to Park City Live on Wednesday night.
