Currently out on the Wheels Of Soul Tour, the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Sharon Jones and Doyle Bramhall II stopped by the Spotify New York City facilities to record a Spotify Session live set prior to hitting the road together. As we spotlighted in a recent Spotify Playlist featuring highlights from Spotify Sessions, the collaborative Wheels Of Soul Live From Spotify NYC set proved to be another superb live session in the series.
The Wheels Of Soul Spotify Session featured Tedeschi Trucks Band with Bramhall kicking things off with Elmore James’ “The Sky Is Crying.” Next, Sharon Jones joined the band for a take on her “She Ain’t A Child No More.” Jones sticks around to duet with Susan Tedeschi for the group cover of “Bring It On Home” made famous by Sam Cooke. Finally, Jones and Tedeschi dueted on the session closing cover of Etta James’ “Tell Mama.”
