Strand of Oaks played a live session for Seattle-based independent radio station KEXP. Timothy Showalter and company performed four songs from Eraserland, an album that came out on March 22 through Dead Oceans.
Timothy was backed by My Morning Jacket guitarist Carl Broemel, drummer Patrick Hallahan, bassist Tom Blankenship and keyboardist Bo Koster on Eraserland, which was recorded with Kevin Ratterman at Louisville’s La La Land Studios and also included contributins from vocalist Emma Ruth Rundle and guitarist Jason Isbell. Showalter brought his touring band to KEXP on April 26 for a session hosted by Troy Nelson. Strand Of Oaks played “Weird Ways” and “Hyperspace Blues” from Eraserland before Tim chatted with Nelson. The set also included performances of Eraserland tracks “Ruby” and “Forever Chords.”
