Organizers have confirmed a new three-day performance schedule beginning tomorrow, Friday, September 11 and going through Sunday, September 13. Campgrounds will open tomorrow at 6 a.m. ET, organizers also confirmed. See the revised schedule below:

Organizers have announced campgrounds will open “first thing Friday morning.” Additionally, Lockn’ attendees are welcome to utilize several Lynchburg, Virginia locations until the grounds open tomorrow morning, including River Ridge Mall, James River Conference Center and Hillcats Stadium. Lockn’ goers can stay overnight in the parking lot at James River Conference Center and Hillcats Stadium and hotels are also available in Lynchburg and Charlottesville.

Local NBC affiliate channel 29 spoke with Lockn’ organizers, who have employed a crew to clean the “muddy mess” left in the wake of a storm that passed through. Organizers are trying to avoid a situation where vehicles get stuck in the mud, but do hope to open the campgrounds later today.
An additional update from festival organizers on the event’s Facebook page reads, “Microburst delays Lockn’, there will be no show on Thursday. Lockn’ organizers are asking concert-goers to be patient while crews work to rebuild and replace equipment and other necessary elements. We are working diligently to resolve all matters related to guest and artist safety, and will make a further announcement two hours prior to the opening of the campgrounds.”
Organizers of the 2015 Lockn’ Festival have announced the cancellation of the first day of performances after a sever storm damaged the event grounds. Thankfully no one was injured in the storm, but as a result, all of the performances slated for tomorrow, Thursday, September 10 at Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, Virginia have been called off.
Here’s the announcement posted by the Lockn’ organizers detailing Thursday’s cancellation, as well as the delay in opening the campgrounds on site until further notice:
Artists slated to perform Thursday included Mickey Hart & EOTO with Steve Kimock, Billy & The Kids, The Doobie Incident featuring The Doobie Brothers & The String Cheese Incident, Little Feat, Soulive, Deer Tick, Strangefolk, Galactic among others. Opening of Campgrounds Delayed Until Further Notice and Thursday Performances Canceled
Earlier this evening, a severe thunderstorm with high winds passed over Lockn’ and caused damage to the festival grounds, particularly the parking and campground area. The good news is that no one was injured and the entire team is focused on cleaning up and preparing for a great festival. The unfortunate news is that we will be forced to delay the opening of the campgrounds and cancel Thursday’s performances in order to give the team the time necessary to make sure the festival grounds are safe for both our guests and our artists.
Despite the inconvenience the storm has caused, we count ourselves lucky that everyone is safe and that we have three great days of music ahead of us. We look forward to seeing you soon.
