Steve Poltz Appears On ‘Apparently This Matters’

Singer-songwriter Steve Poltz is the latest musician to sit for an interview as part of the Apparently This Matters series. Host Jarrett Bellini spoke with the guitarist on January 26 at Eddie’s Attic in Atlanta.
Poltz discusses his recovery after suffering a stroke that caused temporary blindness while on stage performing in 2016. Shortly after suffering the stroke, a friend played him Grateful Dead music and Poltz fell hard for the band while becoming a self-described “post-stroke Deadhead.” An affinity for Bob Weir’s recent solo album Blue Mountain also led Poltz to further explore Jerry Garcia’s catalog.
