Steve Martin, Alison Brown & Tim O’Brien Perform New Single ‘5 Days Out, 2 Days Back’ On ‘Kimmel’

Banjoists Steve Martin and Alison Brown and guitarist Tim O’Brien were the musical guests on Monday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live episode. The trio performed their collaborative new single, “5 Days Out, 2 Days Back.”

Issued in March through Brown’s Compass Records, “5 Days Out, 2 Days Back” showcases Martin’s lyrics with Brown’s instrumental composition. O’Brien provided lead vocals on the recording and for the Kimmel performance.

Martin and Brown are expected to release additional music through Compass Records throughout the year. The pair played banjo together at the end of Martin’s interview with host Jimmy Kimmel. Martin also spoke about acting in the upcoming season of Only Murders In The Building, turning 80 years old and more.
